Nauru - The least visited country in the world
If you google what is the least visited county in the world, the answer is Nauru. Nauru is the world’s smallest republic country which is located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. It has a population of around 9400 people and is the second least populated country. The capital city is Yaren. Australian Dol Dollar is the currency of this country. Nauruan and English are the languages spoken here. The closest country to this island is Banaba Island which belongs to Kiribati. The climate is tropical with an average daytime temperature of 28 Celcius. Annual rainfall is about 2000 mm. There are no rivers or streams available on this island.
This country barely hits 200 tourists per year. The difficulty of reaching this island could be the reason for that. Despite it being a paradise, tourism is not the main income resource, but the phosphate industry is. Nauru is poor in flora and fauna because global warming and pollution affect this place so hardly.
People here are so friendly. There is a friendly neighborhood among all of them. About 95 percent of them work in the government sector. So, there is no need to talk about the economy (Haha). 74 percent of people are obese in Nauru which is the highest obesity rate in the world. People here play Australian football and weightlifting. They have a few world champions in weightlifting also.
Nauru is a bit expensive to travel to because everything they consume has to import basically from Australia. But the experience is worth the money you spend. There are a handful of grocery stores and supermarkets. Also, there are two hotels for the tourists. Overall, it is a good and safe place to have a trip.
Finally, travel responsibly and bring back only the memories.
